Surveillance and Repression

RON NOBLE, SEATTLE POLICE DEPARTMENT, MAY 3, 1964. Seattle, Seattle Municipal Archives.  An activist observed holding a camera as a Seattle Police Department officer snaps pictures of him and other CORE demonstrators outside a local real estate company. A police department memo uncovered in the Mayor’s Records in the Seattle Municipal Archives describes the protest photos with note, “Pictures were taken again today by Officer Noble.”
